{Or if you're not into this sort of thing, just skip it. I'm also using this as an excuse to procrastinate on writing a paper that is due tomorrow.}
I abhor cherry, grape, and fruit punch flavored candy/drinks/whatever. I think it stems from children's medicine only coming in those flavors back in the day.
I am a klutz. I am terrible at sports. I always wanted to be good at soccer like several of my MVP best friends growing up, I tried ... it's just better for everyone involved if I just cheer on the sidelines. I took all sorts of dance classes for years when I was a little kid. Sometime in middle school I finally woke up and realized that it's just better if I don't. {I'm pretty sure I only did it for the awesome costumes anyways.} I'll dance at concerts and shows now but only if it's dark and I'm hidden in the crowd.

Our house is a zoo right now. We have five creatures living with us. My sister is about to leave for Costa Rica for the semester, so I'm taking care of her two darling/insane cats until June. They are just over a year old and still in full-on crazy kitten mode. They are very noisy kitties and constantly squeak and chirp about everything. Dexter thinks it's the best thing ever and is convinced that each and every noise they make is an invitation to stick his big face into the middle of whatever they are doing at the moment, they do not appreciate this. It's constant chaos.
- Do not be fooled by the cuteness, they are all hellions. -
I am trying to be more active on Twitter. We'll see how long this lasts, but I'm trying.
I love being outside, as long as it doesn't require too much effort. My husband's profession involves all kinds of hardcore climbing, backpacking, and boating. Luckily, he gets all of this out of his system at work and he appreciates that he comes home to me to sleep in a real bed and shower daily.
My preferred nature-enjoying activities include walking Dexter, car camping {where you park next to your campsite and only have to carry your supplies 12 feet}, and tubing {where you sit in a tube and float down a river, beer dingy in tow}. The only exception is snowboarding, the only sport I enjoy and I'm actually pretty darn good at too.
I NEVER thought I would end up as a suburban housewife. But this location is perfect for us, the price was right, and we want our kids to grow up in a neighborhood with lots of other kids. I grew up on a farm and was always super jealous of all the kids living in neighborhoods. Plus, our house backs up to woods and a river so we can look out our back windows and pretend we aren't quite as submerged in suburbia as we actually are.

I never leave the house without makeup. My hair may not have been washed in days, {so glad the high bun is in style right now} but I cannot be seen in public without my concealer, eyeliner, and mascara.
I am not as girly as people think I am. I grew up on a farm. I am a pro at scooping manure, I can remove stitches from animals, I used to think digging for worms to feed to the chickens was the coolest, I have held down the legs of a mauled goat while the vet stitched her up {they kept asking me if I needed to go vomit but I just thought it was interesting}, and I have seen the birth of too many foals to count. I can start a fire in the middle of the woods {when the guys I was with had all tried and failed, yessssssss!}, snakes are cool {I once watched one slowly swallow a whole bird}, and I used to be the designated spider catcher when I lived with roommates.
Diet Coke is my kryptonite. I eat super healthy almost all of the time, mostly vegetarian and no gluten. I have salads for lunch almost every day, veggies and hummus for snacks, and drink tons of water {after several large cups of coffee in the morning}. I don't keep sweets, potato chips, etc. in the house. However, I keep a bottle of Diet Coke in the liquor cabinet because anytime I'm even the teeniest bit hungover, all I want is ice cold Diet Coke. I know aspartame is the devil's sweetener, but I can't help it. It's just soooooooo satisfying.
The end.

I feel you on the not being as girly as people think. I love camping, fishing, and hiking. I don't get grossed out by blood. Now...puke is another thing. Thanks for sharing a little bit of you with us :)

Hi Sarah, thank you very much for your lovely comment on my post about bangle bracelets today, it's wonderful to "met" you, dear gal. I love that on my first trip to your blog, I got to know so much about you. We share in common an adoraton for piercings and tattoos. I don't have too many of either, but have always, always appreciated these forms of body art.

I'm a HUGE tattoo fan too! I have three and my first big one planned! I know it's going to likely cost a pretty penny, so I'm slowly saving (damn teacher salary). I'm SO ANXIOUS to get it, and I can not stop thinking about it! Oh and I totally have a wedding tattoo too!
I'm with you on suburbia too. While I adore, adore city life, I've come to realize it's not the lifestyle that we would love. We enjoy having a yard for our dogs (and chickens!). Plus I'm not much of a dog walker.
